Gabrielle Rigaud

Gabrielle Rigaud is originally from Port-au-Prince, Haiti and moved to Boston from her homeland in 1999. She graduated from Tufts University in 2005 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. She worked for three and a half years at Haley & Aldrich on various construction and environmental projects in the New England area as a field engineer with duties that included construction monitoring and, as an office engineer assisting in consulting and design. Gabrielle is currently pursuing her Masters in Geotechnical Engineering at Tufts University.

Formerly a student of the Boston Summer Advanced Mathematics program created by Professor Robert Case at Northeastern University, Gabrielle has also worked with the program as an advanced-math/pre-calculus mentor and continues to visit to encourage students to include advanced mathematics in their curriculum. She has a strong interest in sustainable and green building design which prompted her to begin studying in preparation for the LEED AP examination.

Gabrielle is fluent in Haitian Creole and French and was educated in the two languages as a student in Haiti. She also attended INSA Lyon while living in France for a year. Gabrielle has also done a fair amount of traveling throughout Western Europe and plans to make Australia and South America her next destinations.
