Judy Groleau, Vice President of Development

Judy Groleau is Second Nature’s Vice President of Development. She joined the team with fifteen years of demonstrated fundraising success in higher education. Prior to joining Second Nature, Ms. Groleau was the Vice President for Development at Cambridge College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Cambridge College is an institution of higher learning whose mission is to provide academically excellent, time-efficient, and cost-effective higher education for a diverse population of working adults for whom those opportunities may have been limited or denied. She has spent her entire career working to create a more just and equitable society through her role in development at Cambridge.

Judy served the college for over a quarter of a century in various capacities beginning in the 80’s as an entry level staff person. She worked with for the first President and Founder, its most recent President as well as the Board of Trustees. Judy became the College’s first Capital Campaign Director and successfully raised $38 million of which almost half of the funds were raised to build a first ever endowment for the College. Most recently, she served as Acting Vice President for eighteen months during a major leadership transition. In February 2009, The Board of Trustees voted to remove the “acting” from her title to become the Vice President for Development.

Judy has a Master’s degree in Education from Cambridge College. She serves as a Board Member for the Friends of the Community Learning Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She lives in Newton, Massachusetts.
