Van Du, Intern - Advancing Green Building Initiative
Van Du received her Bachelor of Arts in 2008 from Bowdoin College, with a double major in French and Environmental Studies, and a minor in Sociology. While at Bowdoin, she was actively involved in raising environmental awareness both on campus and in the local community. Van worked as the Sustainability Assistant for Sustainable Bowdoin, an organization aimed at promoting sustainable living on campus. In this work, Van’s goal was to also connect students with local community partners to promote environmental activism in Midcoast Maine. When not working on environmental issues, Van enjoyed volunteering at the Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum at Bowdoin; she led museum tours and organized academic activities for visiting students from local schools in Maine.
Van is currently pursuing a Master of City, Community and Regional Planning degree at Boston University. Her interest is to explore the concept of urban space and the role of sustainability in future planning and development.
